Michael's House is a chemical dependency treatment center designed to meet the needs of adult males. It was founded to address the critical gap faced by men who need special assistance in their recovery - at an affordable cost. We have limited our population to 24 men and take pride in maintaining one of the highest staff-to-client ratios in the field.
Overview
Michael's House is nationally recognized for providing effective drug rehab and alcohol rehab treatment for individuals and families suffering from the disease of alcoholism, substance abuse as well as co-occurring disorders. Our two rehab centers, The Treatment Center for Men and the Residential Retreat, are nestled in the Foothills of the magnificent San Jacinto Mountains in Palm Springs, California. Our residential rehabilitation center and extended care facilities offer Drug Rehab, Alcohol Rehab, and Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment in tranquil hacienda style desert retreats that reflect our holistic philosophy of care.
History
Arlene Rosen, president of Michael's House, a chemical dependency treatment center in Palm Springs, remembers watching a television show while her son was still alive. "A woman was talking about her schizophrenic son," Rosen recalls, "and as she went on, it became uncanny - she was describing my son. It was Michael."
Location
Palm Springs is nestled in the Coachella Valley and was home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Behind downtown you can see Mt. San Jacinto with an elevation of 10,831 feet. Visitors enjoy traveling 8,500 feet up Mt.
