George Michael Claims He’s Heading to Drug Rehab
Early in the morning on October 11, George Michael was spotted leaving his home in England. When asked where he was going, he said drug rehab and “I want to beat my drug addiction and lead a normal life,” according to The Sun.

This comes just hours after his release from jail. The singer served eight weeks for driving under the influence of drugs. He ran into a shop after smoking marijuana a few months ago.
Michael expressed a great deal of unhappiness about his time spent locked up: “I don’t want to end up back in prison. It’s a very horrible place to be. You’re not considered a person when you’re inside, you’re just a number and that freaked me out. I have done wrong and paid my time for doing this stupid crime and I want to get my life back on track.”
But he took his dogs with him.
When his partner, Kenny Goss, came home about five minutes after Michael left, he didn’t believe that Michael had indeed gone to drug rehab. The car returned later with no Michael and no dogs. His aides wouldn’t comment on his whereabouts and neither would Goss when questioned again later.
Does George Michael Need Drug Rehab?
Given his history of drug abuse and addiction as well as his jail stint in the wake up driving under the influence, most would say ‘yes.’ The fact that George told people that he needed it and wanted to go says that somewhere inside he recognizes that he has a problem and that it’s a problem that he can’t get rid of alone. He may not have gone to drug rehab this time. But one thing is clear: long-term drug addiction requires drug rehab treatment if there is ever going to be any real change.
Do You Need Drug Rehab?
This is a personal question and one that you know the answer to. You may tell everyone around you that you don’t drug and alcohol rehab, that you don’t have a problem with your abuse of drugs and alcohol, that they’re the ones with the problem. Whether it’s because you don’t want to change or because you don’t feel like a change is necessary, it’s clear to most people that their drug and alcohol abuse is steadily increasing. It will eventually end one way or another: with a drug overdose or accident under the influence that ends your life or with drug treatment that gives you the chance to start over without active addiction.
Does Your Loved One Need Drug Rehab?
It’s difficult to watch someone you love struggle with drug addiction. It’s even harder when you’ve tried to talk to them about the problem to no avail. A drug intervention is one way to have a constructive conversation with the addict or alcoholic in your life, show them how their addiction is hurting them and give them the chance to get the help they need at a drug treatment center.
