Palm Springs is nestled in the Coachella Valley and was home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Behind downtown you can see Mt. San Jacinto with an elevation of 10,831 feet. Visitors enjoy traveling 8,500 feet up Mt. San Jacinto aboard the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway where they can dine at a restaurant overlooking the valley. In downtown Palm Springs there are great restaurants, antique shops, and boutiques. Palm Springs also has a “walk of the stars" where you can see the names of many Hollywood legends.
