John Geohegan is a licensed psychiatric technician and California native. Having grown up in Fontana, he later attended San Bernardino Valley College where he earned a degree in photography. While in college, John was presented with an opportunity to help those who were developmentally disabled and mentally ill, a humbling experience that led him to a greater understanding of the human condition. When he retired after 15 years, a job became available with Betty Ford Center in 2003, allowing him to use his skills to help addicted individuals work toward recovery. In 2011, Michael’s House welcomed John to the team, leading to an exciting new addition to the growing Michael’s House IOP/PHP program.
