Dr. Jordan Weisman is a licensed clinical psychologist who began working for Michael’s House in 2011. Jordan was born and raised in Southern California and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California San Diego with a degree in psychology. Dr. Weisman began his graduate work at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, earning a doctorate in clinical psychology.
Jordan’s clinical and academic interest in resilient adults converged when writing his dissertation, which focused on adults with autism spectrum disorders who were living independently. Jordan developed a passion for treating adults in residential treatment settings during an internship at a psychiatric hospital in La Mesa, California.
Dr. Weisman is also passionate about men’s issues and can be found lecturing regularly at Michael’s House about the unique psychology of men and its influence in a person’s substance abuse behavior and relationships. In his role as clinical manager, Jordan sees that the organization, including staff, facilities, and location, affect positive change in the individuals seeking treatment.
For fun, Jordan enjoys photography, running, and spending time with his family and pets.
