Kathryn Waehler
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Kathryn Waehler is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been working in the field of psychology for more than a decade. At Michael’s House, Kathryn completes intake assessments, provides psychological assessment and interpretation, and handles crisis intervention. Additionally, Kathryn runs a Dual Diagnosis group focusing on the relationship between addiction and mental health.

Kathryn completed her undergraduate degree at Salisbury University in Maryland, where she focused her studies on psychology and art. Kathryn then attended the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego, California, where she obtained her PsyD in clinical psychology with an integrative emphasis. Integrative psychology is a systems approach that focuses on the interdependence of social, physical, cultural, spiritual and psychological dynamics.

Kathryn completed her internships and postdoctoral work in hospital and outpatient settings, including Bayview Behavioral Health, RADY Children’s Hospital, and the Family Stress Center. After becoming licensed, Kathryn worked in a private practice setting until coming to Michael’s House in April of 2010.

For fun, Kathryn enjoys painting, tennis, and hiking.
