Susan Moffitt
Community Outreach Specialist
Susan Moffitt joined Michael's House as an outreach specialist in 2008. Prior to joining Michael's House, she worked in the call center at La Paloma in Memphis, Tenn. Susan served as an account executive for the NBC affiliate in Memphis, Tenn., and has worked in marketing and selling TV, radio and print advertising for more than 20 years.
Susan's job responsibilities include community outreach, representing the facility at conferences, marketing the facility to doctors, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and others. She also organizes professional's weekends, alumni reunions and meets with families and clients.
Susan chose a career in recovery after becoming sober two years ago, and wanted to use her story to give back to others. She says the most fulfilling aspect of her job is watching miracles happen in people's lives.
Susan earned a bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Memphis. She participates in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.
When she is not working, Susan paints and makes jewelry. She enjoys being outdoors and hiking, as well as solving crossword puzzles.
