Ruth Fikes joined the staff of Michael’s House treatment center in February of 2013. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist with a passion for solution-focused care and management. Ruth brings 18 years of experience in behavioral health care management to Michael’s House. During her career, she has had oversight responsibilities for utilization management, quality management, case management, and regulatory compliance. Ruth has collaborated with health care executives from Anthem Blue Cross, Managed Health Network, Aetna Behavioral, and United Behavioral Health to implement successful utilization and case management programs. She served as the clinical facilitator for the National Behavioral Consortium. In addition to her management experience, Ruth has provided intensive in-home family therapy for children and adolescents and has developed multiple educational programs for clients, staff, and management.
Ruth received her B.A. in psychology from Bethany College in Kansas and her M.A. in family therapy from the California Graduate Institute. She received her marriage and family therapy license in January of 1992.
